Let`s learn about Ben`s journey!
On my first day, I remember being in a bit of bewilderment. I had been working at Curry`s on the Knowhow desk for a while, feeling stuck and demotivated. Walking into the Samsung store felt like a fresh start and the start to something I didn`t quite understand yet.
I was originally hired to be a L1 colleague who would also be trained in L2, however it came clear after my first couple of shifts that the full time L2 role was the fit for me. I loved the repair process learned under Ryan the other L2 instore. I don`t think I would have picked it up as quick without him.
My first 3years was spent in Leicester, using every opportunity to learn and become better. I ended up supporting other stores and service leadership to help with content creation. Everything I learnt I put back into making the repair centre in Leicester better. An opportunity came up to support with Stratford`s NSO and i ended up in London delivering training I had written. Just before Covid I was involved with Bristol`s opening. Once restrictions started to ease I was shipped to Bristol to support with the store opening and keep the repair centre operating during a weird time.
When the role for Service and Solutions executive came up, I was immediately throwing my hat in . The work I had put in, the lessons I had learnt and the experience helped me show my ability to do the role on offer.
Last couple of years have had a huge focus for me on training. I`ve developed in person L1 training, worked alongside the Solutions team to develop and deliver on the L1 Learning Journey E-Learning and agree process to RA with the team at Samsung. Developed the L2 training, delivering and coaching to get colleagues signed off. It feels crazy to me to know so many colleagues will have interacted with training I have developed. Training is always developing
It helps getting to meet and interact with nearly every member in the business in one way or another. Its one of the things I love, I know if I need support I am confident they will do what they can to help.
I am excited for what comes next

🎉 PRS Turns 8! 🎉
✨ Today, we’re shining the spotlight on two of our service team who have helped to shape our service department and pave the way for all of our Repair Engineers! Ben Goodall and Lucy Garbett
Let`s find out about Lucy`s story!
What do you remember about your very first day?
I remember from when we became PRS, the journey and training of sending everyone to Unbound, an amazing experience, with first class engagement, meeting all the new teams and faces of PRS, and most certainly watching a guy in a space suit climbing over seats in the auditorium to then going back into stores, excitement of a rebrand, and opening those doors to welcome our customers back to SES.
I originally started my journey with Carphone Warehouse in 2010 as a part-time Sales Colleague. After a few years, an exciting opportunity arose with the launch of the first Samsung flagship stores
Over the past eight years, I’ve remained engaged and motivated by the incredible opportunities for growth, mentorship, and career advancement. The company’s dedication to innovation and excellence continues to inspire me every day.
My role has evolved significantly since I first started as a CPW Sales Colleague. Over the years, I’ve taken on various positions, including CSA, CEE, L1, L2, Smart Academy Trainer, Operations Manager, and Assistant Manager, leading to my current role as a Service and Solutions Executive. I’m committed to continuous growth and development, striving for further career advancement in the future.
The biggest change I’ve seen at PRS is the growth of job roles and career opportunities. The company has always supported employee development, opening new doors for people to learn and advance, which has shaped careers like mine.
One thing that has remained constant since day one is PRS’s dedication to innovation. The company has always been forward-thinking, continuously adopting new technologies and strategies to stay ahead. The strong culture of teamwork and support has never wavered,

🎉 PRS Turns 8! 🎉
✨ Today, we’re shining the spotlight on none other than our Head of Retail, Ben Hudson! ✨
From the start, Ben’s leadership and passion have played a huge role in helping to shape PRS into what it is today. Read his story below!
What do you remember about your very first day?
It was a big step for me, in my career. Whilst not my first in a field role, it was a significant step in terms of responsibility. Imposter syndrome was a constant battle. The most significant realisation on day one, was the scale of what needed to be achieved, the stakes of failure and the short time we had to pull everything together. Literally building an operational business, within three months. The team were and still are, amazing.
What made you decide to join PRS, and what has kept you here?
The invite came and it was the right time in my career. There are three things that keep me here. Firstly, constant challenge and amount I have been able to develop over the years. Second, the excitement of, so clearly, being able to see the amount of opportunity to grow what both SES and PRS do. Third, the people. We have great people in the business, I really enjoy supporting people’s careers, whether that’s directly training, or more broadly creating opportunities for people to grow themselves. It feels good to look back over the years, seeing what has been achieved and knowing the challenging circumstances it was achieved in.
How has your role evolved ?
In the early days I was solely responsible for the thirteen stores, at the time, as well as the overall retail and operational plan. As the years have gone by, additional layers of support and line management have been introduced. This has resulted in my time directly in stores significantly reducing, with the time going into planning for the business. I do miss my time of supporting the stores.
What hasn`t changed?
Stepping up to the challenge. We have eight successful years of facing down challenges that come our way.
Describe PRS in three words
Entrepreneurial. Agile. Resilient.

This week we are continuing “Celebrating the Faces Behind 8 Years of PRS” – an 8-day spotlight on the incredible OGs who have shaped PRS since day one. 💙
✨ Today, we spotlight two of our store based colleagues Komal Perwez Haque and Josh Ditchfield
Check out Josh`s story below!
What do you remember about your very first day?
My first day was as a pre existing AM staring at a pronto screen and thinking I am never going to be able to learn this and here I am 8 years on a General Manager and a certified pronto expert. Day One felt like a true breath of fresh air and felt like I truly worked for the brand.
What made you decide to join PRS, and what has kept you here for 8 years?
I joined because I saw a future in a company that was young and full of opportunity - in the years that have followed I like to think I have progressed along in keeping with the opportunities that was enabled to me and hopefully continue to do so for many years to come.
How has your role evolved over the years?
There are aspects of my role that will never leave me - nothing excites me more than hitting the shop floor and having the opportunity to be part of the success of the day - but more importantly I have evolved to operate in a way that allows me to control and influence my own business as a whole and be responsible both for the good and the bad. Becoming a better people manager and having the opportunity to grow and develop people both professionally and personally has been one of my proudest achievements in my career to date
What’s the biggest innovation or change you’ve seen at PRS?
Engagement culture - little things like cake being sent into store, perks rewards and savings, celebrating people within the company and allowing everyone to have their moment in the sunshine
What’s one thing about PRS that hasn’t changed since day one?
Nucleus remains the same - the main stayers who have been around since day one have all moved into roles above or grown the role they were in at the time
If you could describe PRS in three words, what would they be?
Adaptive, People First and Ambitious

🎉 PRS Turns 8! 🎉
This week we are continuing “Celebrating the Faces Behind 8 Years of PRS” – an 8-day spotlight on the incredible OGs who have shaped PRS since day one. 💙
What do you remember about your very first day?
Although it has been such a long time since I started my journey as an L1 engineer at SES Oxford Street, I still remember that fine summer morning I came for my first shift and was introduced to the team by the management during the morning brief.
I was very excited but also a bit nervous about working in a location like Oxford street where the environment is very fast paced and we get customers who come from all around the world.
How has your role evolved over the years?
I started in 2017 as an L1 Engineer, being at the Front of House, helping people with software issues, later on I was given the role of service admin and Middle of House in the Service department. Handling incoming and outgoing parts deliveries and acting as a middle person between the Level1 and Level 2 Engineers.
In 2018 I went on the Level 2 training at the Samsung HQ and was officially signed off as a Level2 Engineer and since then I have repaired countless phones, tablets, watches etc.
What’s the biggest innovation or change you’ve seen at PRS?
The way the Samsung eco system is promoted , there is always something new being introduced in the products which helps customer with things like accessibility , having a healthy lifestyle and leisure .
And the colleagues get to try and enjoy these products with seeded devices
What’s one thing about PRS that hasn’t changed since day one?
Diversity and inclusion.
We have people from different backgrounds, and we celebrate all of them equally.
If you could describe PRS in three words, what would they be?
Great Customer Care
Innovative
Diverse

✨ Today, we spotlight our Regional Management Team – Douglas Munro and Julia Ditchfield ✨
Check out Julia`s story below!
Julia Ditchfield
My first day working with PRS was at unbound and it was my 30th birthday!
I have stayed for 8 years because I work for a company that is partnered with a huge global brand and yet I am heard as a colleague. I have worked for some huge retailers and have never had the opportunity to really be a part of how we shape and build the business. Whereas PRS not only allows that, it encourages it.
I started as an SM in Market street then quicky progressed to take on the flagship store in TC. In 2019 I was promoted to a GM and had both Manchester stores. During Covid I supported our business team and have also managed our contact centre for a short time. My most recent role Is Regional Manager for the London stores.
I think our commitment to deliver great service through our great people has been the message since the beginning.

✨ Today, we spotlight our Regional Management Team – Douglas Munro & Julia Ditchfield ✨
Both have had different journeys since the very beginning of PRS, but their dedication and impact have helped shape who we are today. 🙌
Take a look at Doug`s journey below and later on today, Julia will make her entrance!
Doug Munro
I still vividly recall walking toward the newly refurbished store, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity about what lay ahead. I was paired up with Colin Burns again, which brought a sense of familiarity to the fresh start.
I joined PRS because it felt like a rare chance to be part of a start-up with real potential. The leadership stood out, people I genuinely wanted to work for, and I was drawn to the idea of contributing to a product focused business. What’s kept me here for eight years is that same uniqueness, the inspiring people driving the company, and the rewarding nature of being part of something so dynamic.
My journey at PRS has been anything but static. I started by opening the Edinburgh store, then took on a cluster role supporting Milton Keynes, Newcastle, and Leeds. Over time, I found myself guiding incoming managers, working in Oxford St support, and stepping into a Regional Manager role. Later, I covered all stores before returning to RM for Region 1 with a different store split. It’s been a whirlwind of growth and adaptation.
The most striking change has been the growth in our teams and the incredible level of internal progression. It’s inspiring to see how much we’ve expanded and how many opportunities have opened up for people within the company
It`s not so much innovation, but our adaptive process responding to shifting customer behaviours, the economy, and the willingness to experiment and learn from setbacks. Our ability to progress!
